Dived it yesterday. Had what our dive master called the clearest dive she has ever had on this and any wreck ever. Was fantastic. So happy with it we signed up for the padi wreck and Nitrox speciality courses for tomorrow and Sunday. Can’t wait.

The HTMS Suphairin and HTMS Hanhak Sattru, both commissioned in the early 20th Century, played crucial roles in safeguarding Thailand's maritime defense. Equipped with modern weaponry, including Gabriel surface-to-surface missile launchers, these fast attack craft were versatile assets that conducted various missions alongside the Naval Special Warfare Division. Transforming into Artificial Reefs: Promoting Marine Biodiversity The deliberate sinking of the HTMS Suphairin and HTMS Hanhak Sattru wrecks will have a significant impact on the local ecosystem, offering a range of benefits: Creating Habitat and Sanctuary: These sunken wrecks now function as artificial reefs, providing residences and sanctuaries for a diverse array of marine creatures, including the growth of coral formations. They attract a wide variety of marine species, thereby enriching overall biodiversity. Enhancing Climate Resilience: Artificial reefs exhibit greater resilience to climate change and pollution, offering a stable and secure environment for marine life. They also facilitate valuable research and studies in the fields of marine biology and ecology. Alleviating Dive Site Overcrowding: Considering the popularity of Koh Tao among divers, the introduction of these two sunken wrecks will help redistribute diving activities and alleviate the congestion experienced at existing dive sites.
I went diving with Bull Sharks quite a few times in early 2010 in KT. Was great fun

Oh wow! I didn't know bull sharks still existed around there! (but the only time I dove there was 2009...and Koh Tao didn't look so hot..but Sail Rock was great!) What other pelagics are common around Sail Rock (besides the occasional whale shark)?
